I don’t know where you’re at, but y ou might want to test for Lyme’s disease. I got Lyme’s disease from a tick, but fortunately I noticed the tell-tale rash and got tested. If doctors catch it early enough they can wipe it right out with antibiotics, but a lot of people don’t notice the mark right after they get infected, and then the rash disappears, and then the disease progresses until it starts manifesting symptoms, which can be real bad and lead to permanent damage .

Lymes disease can apparently be an issue in Oz...very rare though. Ticks on the other hand are a weekly passenger.
